NEW MEXICO PAIN ADVISORY COUNCIL
The
New Mexico Pain Advisory
Council was created by
the NM Legislature in 2005.
Its members are appointed by
the Governor, and include
representatives from the
health care licensing
boards, health provider
associations and the
University of New Mexico as
well as health care
advocates and consumers.
The Council’s mandate is to
review current pain
management practices in the
state and national pain
management standards, and to
institute and coordinate
statewide efforts to educate
providers and consumers
about pain management.
